Riverside Christian Preschool (RCPS) would like to take this opportunity to welcome you to the Riverside Christian Schools family. As a part of that family, Riverside Christian Preschool is often a parent’s (and a child’s) first introduction to Christian education.
RCPS believes that our preschool is an extension of the home, particularly in our objectives to provide a loving environment and to train up children “in the way they should go.” For this reason, we invite parents to communicate often with the RCPS teachers and director. RCPS has served the greater Riverside area and the Inland Empire since 1985, and we look forward to an outstanding experience together with you and your children.
A child’s early years are their most important. We at Riverside Christian Schools endeavor to make certain that the hours a child spends here are productive toward the formation of his whole being and his personality. Our carefully balanced program is designed to foster spiritual, mental, social, and physical development of each child enrolled. While we are dedicated to maintaining a professional staff, the best of facilities, and a Biblically-oriented academic curriculum, we believe that it is the loving, caring, Christian adults whose love for the Lord shows in the interactions with children that makes the greatest impact on a child.
In a loving and caring environment, we hope to encourage each child to develop at his own unique pace. These are the goals we set for each child in our program:
Spiritual:
To help the child develop a love of God; to teach that Jesus is God’s Son and loves him; to teach the Bible as the Word of God; to instill a love for others.
Mental:
To develop a positive attitude of self-worth, a feeling of competence and a satisfaction in the mastery of new skills; to help the child’s sense of responsibility and self-control; to stimulate curiosity, creative and imagination; to involve a child in a basic educational program which includes science, social studies, letters, numbers, reading readiness, music, art and plays.
Social:
To provide an environment that fosters a sense of security; to encourage helpfulness and courtesy; to help a child feel accepted by his teacher and peers; to promote sharing with others; to develop independent living skills.
Physical:
To provide for the health, safety and well-being of the child; to emphasize proper play techniques; to develop large and small muscles; to promote good health habits.
